Change to The Nuclear Energy Debate among Friends: Another Round—Instead of discussing how nuclear waste compares to tobacco smoke, linking to a source now gone, use this:
Yucca Mountain will, 100 – 500,000 years from now, expose a small number of people to total background plus Yucca Mountain radioactivity less than 5 million in Denver now see from natural background. The cancer rate in Denver is the lowest of any large U.S. city. If the number living near Yucca Mountain is large, that means there is more water, and the exposure due to Yucca Mountain is more dilute.
Friends Journal has published four of my articles on nuclear power:
• Forum responding to comments on Friends Journal: Earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear Power in Japan, December 2011 (it’s listed as 11th comment)
• Friends Journal: Earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear Power in Japan, August 2011
