I am a father of the most precious three year old and a beautiful wife. And don't forget the cat. She won't like it. I have bipolar, probably type I. The past is coming into focus and the future seems possible.

  1. I am sorry I missed that group. Thanks for the article. I’ve asked my psychiatrist about things that seem benign, like fish oil, just to double check. I am taking a supplement he approved, but he doesn’t know much about. I did bring it up in a meeting, not to encourage anyone to take it, but for feedback for myself.

I do worry about interactions, and there are no regulations on supplements. I am pretty skeptical typically.

  2. A very good book for those who want to include herbs as part of their treatment is Tyler’s Honest Herbal. It will tell you which ones work and which ones are snake oil and the side effects of each.
